1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 337px) 100vw, 337px\" \/>In order to reaffirme the condemnation of Russia\u2019s war of aggression against Ukraine and its support for Ukraine\u2019s independence, sovereignty, integrity and self-protection, as stated in the conclusions of 26 and 27 October 2023 of the <strong>European Council,<\/strong> the acts adopted by the Council with the <strong>twelfth package of restrictions against Russia<\/strong> were published in the Official Journal of the European Union on <strong>18 December 2023.<\/strong> With the aim of further <strong>weakening Russia\u2019s ability to conduct this war of aggression,<\/strong> this new package strengthens the sanctions and their full and affective implementation, <strong>preventing<\/strong> their <strong>circumvention.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new sanctions are based on the following Decisions and Regulations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/eli\/dec\/2023\/2874\">Decision (CFSP) 2023\/2874<\/a> of 18 December 2023 amending Decision 2014\/512\/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia\u2019s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/eli\/dec\/2023\/2871\">Decision (CFSP) 2023\/2871<\/a> of 18 December 2023 amending Decision 2014\/145\/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/eli\/reg\/2023\/2873\">Council Regulation (EU) 2023\/2873<\/a> of 18 December 2023 amending Regulation (EU) No 269\/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/?uri=OJ:L_202302875\">Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023\/2875<\/a> of 18 December 2023 implementing Regulation (EU) No 269\/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/eli\/reg\/2023\/2878\">Council Regulation (EU) 2023\/2878<\/a> of 18 December 2023 amending Regulation (EU) No 833\/2014 concerning
